-Happy Sons of Anarchy Day!

-The WWE Smackdown taping will be held tonight in Ottawa, Ontario at Canadian Tire Centre, which was previously known as Scotiabank Place. Edge is advertised as appearing and his segment will appear on Friday's television show. The rest of the talent pool includes Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Alberto Del Rio, Rob Van Dam, Dolph Ziggler, Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, Mark Henry, Big Show, The Shield, AJ Lee, Kaitlyn, and The Wyatt Family.

-We are looking for correspondents for tonight's WWE Smackdown taping in Ottawa and Thursday's TNA Impact Wrestling television event in St. Louis, Mo. If you are going to the show and want to provide an additional perspective on the taping, send a report to me after the show via dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-WWE is advertising a pair of dark main events for tonight's Smackdown taping - Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship, and Rob Van Dam, Big Show, and Mark Henry vs. The Shield in a six-man tag match. I attended last week's taping in Minneapolis where both main events were advertised. However, only the Orton vs. Bryan match took place.

-WWE Hall of Famer "Superstar" Billy Graham (a/k/a Eldridge Wayne Coleman) is 70 today. Graham, one of the most influential wrestlers in history, has battled numerous health issues in recent years, including being hospitalized in January for double pneumonia. Graham was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004 by Triple H.

-WWE Hall of Famer Don Muraco is 64 today. He was born on September 10, 1949. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004 by Mick Foley. His son Joe wrestled independently.

-Former TNA wrestler Matt Morgan is 37. He was born on September 10, 1976. Morgan asked for his release from TNA and later received it on July 9. He has been working independently since then.

-WWE developmental staffer Steve Keirn is 62 today. He was born on September 10, 1951. Keirn ran Florida Championship Wrestling as a developmental promotion for WWE and remains with NXT.

-The late Fritz Von Erich died on this date in 1997 following a battle with brain and lung cancer. He was the patriarch of the Von Erich family, which was inducted as a group into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009 by Michael Hayes. Kevin Von Erich accepted on behalf of his late family members. Fritz's granddaughter Lacey Von Erich (daughter of Kerry Von Erich) wrestled for TNA before getting out of the business.

-A block of Global Supercard Wrestling airs on ESPN Classic tonight from 11:00 p.m. CT until 5:00 a.m. CT. There is no information listed about these shows.
