-The WWE Smackdown taping will be held tonight in Rockford, Illinois at BMO Harris Bank Center. The show will feature MizTV with guests A.J. Lee and Big E Langston.

-The advertised dark main event for tonight's Smackdown taping is Rob Van Dam, Sheamus, and Randy Orton vs. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns in a six-man tag match.

-The late Dino Bravo (a/k/a Adolfo Bresciano) was born on August 6, 1948. He died on March 10, 1993 at the age of 44. Bravo made a name for himself in Canada before working for the NWA and eventually WWE. Following his WWE retirement, Bravo was found shot to death in his Quebec home. He was shot 17 times and it is believed that he was killed due to his alleged role in cigarette smuggling in Canada. No arrest has ever been made in connection with his shooting.

-Reby Sky (a/k/a Rebecca Reyes) is 27 today. She was born on August 6, 1986. She made her in-ring debut in 2011, and she and Matt Hardy recently announced their engagement and will be married on October 5 in North Carolina. You can view their wedding website at

-NWA Central States Championship Wrestling is running on August 31 in Cahokia, Illinois at Knights of Columbus Hall. The show features NWA Champion Rob Conway defending the title against NWA Central States Champion Evan "Money" Morris, Shane Fury vs. Shane Somers for the NWA Illinois Title, Byron Wilcott vs. Chris Logan in a No. 1 contenders match for the Illinois Title, and Jordynne Grace vs. Claudia Solis.
