WWE Smackdown taping in Columbia (correspondents needed), Smackdown TV main event, dark match, Ace Steel returning to Steel Domain Wrestling, Dot Net Audio, Layla, Mark Haskins, Hirooki Goto

-The WWE Smackdown taping will be held tonight in Columbia, S.C. at Colonial Life Arena. The advertised TV main event is Sheamus vs. Damien Sandow in a Dublin Street Fight, plus new World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio will hold a Fiesta (that will inevitably be broken up by Dolph Ziggler). At this point, don't you just assume that whatever notable match they have on Smackdown will somehow lead to a rematch on Raw?

-Ace Steel is returning to Steel Domain Wrestling for the July 20 event in Hopkins, Minnesota at the Hopkins Pavilion. Steel will be facing Adam Pearce in a Falls Count Anywhere main event. SDW is also advertising Mitch Paradise, Ariya Daivari, Danny Duggan, A.J. Sanchez, El Mentalo, Ryan Cruz, and female wrestlers. The event will benefit Hopkins Youth Hockey. -WWE Diva Layla El is 36 today. She was born on June 25, 1977. Layla worked as a dancer for the Miami Heat of the NBA and also danced at the MTV Music Awards prior to her pro wrestling career. She got into the business via the WWE Diva Search in 2006.

-British pro wrestler Mark Haskins is 25 today. He was born on June 25, 1988. Haskins has worked for TNA and Dragon Gate USA, as well as many British promotions. He was also interviewed by Dot Net's Darren Gutteridge in an interview that ran earlier this month. Check out the interview in our Misc. News section

-New Japan Pro Wrestling's Hirooki Goto is 34 today. He was born on June 25, 1979.
