-The WWE Smackdown taping will be held tonight in Birmingham, Alabama at Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex. The featured segment on the show is MizTV with special guest Randy Orton. This will be the final show before Sunday's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

-The advertised talent pool for tonight's Smackdown taping is is Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, Triple H, Damien Sandow, Big E Langston, The Shield, A.J. Lee, Kaitlyn, and The Wyatt Family.

-The late "Bad News" Brown (a/k/a Allen Coage) was born on this date in 1943. He died on March 6, 2007 when he suffered a heart attack at age 63. Brown, who worked as Bad News Allen outside WWE, won a bronze medal as a heavyweight in judo at the 1976 Summer Olympics.

-WWE Hall of Famer Pedro Morales is 71 today. He was born on October 22, 1942. Morales was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1995, becoming the first Hispanic to be inducted. The late Gorilla Monsoon delivered the introduction speech.

-Former TNA agent D-Lo Brown (a/k/a Accie Connor) is 43 today. He was born on October 22, 1970. Brown was released by TNA on July 17 in a cost cutting move. He worked for TNA in 2003 and 2004 as a wrestler, returned to the company in 2009 as an agent and held that position until his departure. He has worked for All Japan Pro Wrestling since leaving TNA.

-A block of Global Supercard Wrestling airs on ESPN Classic tonight beginning at 6:00 p.m. CT that runs until 1:00 a.m. CT. ESPN lists no details about these shows.
