The advertised talent pool for tonight's show is Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Damien Sandow, Big Show, The Shield, Triple H, Rob Van Dam, Big E Langston, A.J. Lee, and The Wyatt Family.
-The advertised dark main events for tonight's Smackdown taping are Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan, and the usual dated six-man tag with The Shield vs. Rob Van Dam, Big Show, and Mark Henry.

-TNA wrestler Robbie E (a/k/a Robert Strauss) is 30 today. He was born on October 1, 1983. He previously wrestled as Rob Eckos on the indy scene. He trained to become a wrestler when he was just 16 and made his in-ring debut on his 17th birthday on October 1, 2000.
-Former WWE wrestler Rico Constantino (a/k/a Americo Sebastiano Costantino) is 52 today. He was born on October 1, 1961. He is currently an officer for the Nevada Taxi Cab Authority. I am currently in Vegas and will ask my cab driver later today if he knows Rico. Hey, it's worth a shot.
-Hector Guerrero is 59 today. He was born on October 1, 1954. Guerrero is currently employed by TNA as a color commentator for their Spanish broadcast team. Although he had a successful career using his own name, Guerrero played two of the more memorable awful gimmick characters. Not only was he The Gobbledy Gooker back in 1990, but he also worked as Lazer Tron in WCW.
-A block of Global Supercard Wrestling airs on ESPN Classic tonight beginning at 6:00 p.m. CT that runs until 1:00 a.m. CT. ESPN lists no details about these shows.
