-WWE Smackdown will be held tonight in Bakersfield, California at Rabobank Arena. The talent pool for tonight's event is Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Mark Henry, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, The Shield, Rob Van Dam, Kaitlyn, A.J. Lee, Damien Sandow, and Cody Rhodes.

-Sirius/XM's Howard Stern discussed Darren Young become the first active member of the WWE roster to announce that he is gay during his show on Monday. Dot Net reader Josh Kostab reports: "It was very brief but he mentioned Darren coming out then proceeded to make the usual jokes, such as what a shock it is that a guy who wears underwear and body oil that rolls around with other naked men is gay. He then said something about Darren being very happy but his parents are disappointed. Not disappointed that he's gay, but disappointed he 'pretends' to wrestle."
-The NWA issued a press release to announce the naming of Colby Primeaux to the position of Director of Media Communications. He previously worked as a freelance correspondent for NWA related websites.
-Former WWE Diva Tori (a/k/a Terri Poch) is 49 today. She was born on August 20, 1964. She worked for WWE from 1998 through 2000. She was initially cast as a Sable fan, and was later the girlfriend of Kane and eventually X-Pac in on-air storylines.
-WWE NXT broadcast team member Byron Saxton (a/k/a Bryan Kelly) is 32 today. He was born on August 20, 1981. His Wikipedia page notes that he also works behind the scenes in NXT as a creative assistant.
-A block of Global Supercard Wrestling airs on ESPN Classic tonight beginning at 8:00 p.m. CT and running until 1:00 a.m. There are no matches are wrestlers listed for the shows.
