-WWE Smackdown is headlined by a 20-man battle royal that will determine the new No. 1 contender to the World Hvt. Championship. Plus, WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio issues an open challenge. Join Jake Barnett for live coverage of the show as it airs on Syfy at 7:00 p.m. CT.

-We are looking for correspondents for the WWE and TNA live events this weekend. If you are going to any of the shows listed below, please send a report to css3238@gmail.com. Please note the email address, as Chris Shore is covering the site this weekend.

-The WWE Raw crew is in Regina, Sask. at the Brandt Centre. There are no matches listed on the arena website, but John Cena, C.M. Punk, Alberto Del Rio, and The Miz are among the advertised talent.

-The WWE Smackdown crew is in Tacoma, Washington on Saturday at the Tacoma Dome. Sin Cara is among the advertised talent. The original Sin Cara is eligible to return from his Wellness Policy suspension, so it will be interesting to see whether he works the shows this weekend or if Hunico continues to work as Sin Cara.

-The WWE Raw crew is in Saskatoon, Sask. at Credit Union Centre on Saturday with the following advertised matches: Alberto Del Rio vs. C.M. Punk vs. John Cena in a Triple Threat for the WWE Championship, John Morrison vs. R-Truth, David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty vs. Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne, Santino Marella vs. Mason Ryan, and Primo vs. Jack Swagger. The listing is dated, as Chris Masters is advertised for the show and Eve is listed as teaming with Beth Phoenix.

-The WWE Smackdown crew is in Kamloops, B.C. at the Interior Savings Centre on Sunday. The show is headlined by Randy Orton vs. Christian in a street fight for the World Hvt. Championship. [NOTE: This show has been canceled.]

-TNA is in Rome, Ga. tonight at the Forum Civic Center with the following advertised matches:

-Former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia celebrates her 45th birthday today. She was born on August 19, 1966. Garcia continues to work on her music career.

-Former pro wrestler Tim Horner is 52 today. He was born on August 19, 1959.

-There are no pro wrestling shows advertised for ESPN Classic this weekend.
