-WWE is advertising that Batista will sign a contract to face Edge at the Night of Champions pay-per-view on tonight's Smackdown. Although the show was taped over the weekend, they are not advertising any actual matches on the WWE website yet. Unreal. Dot Net Smackdown reviewer Chris Shore should have his report online shortly after the show tonight.

-Paul Heyman's latest blog features his thoughts on Donald Trump investing in the Affliction MMA group. "Is he a consultant?," questions Heyman. "Is he handling negotiations with production companies and possibly assisting in the pitches to television networks? Is he simply lending his name, like he has done in the past with other projects, but is really 'hands-off' on any or all day-to-day decisions and operations? Does Trump have any veto power? What happens if he doesn't agree with the direction the promotion wants to take? Does Trump have the ability to get involved in matchmaking?" To read the full blog, visit the UK Sun website.

-Ultimate Warrior's return match against Orlando Jordan on June 25 in Spain will be broadcast on Dailymotion.com. Say what you will about Warrior, but his team continues to do a great job of hyping his return online. It's also worked out nicely for the Nu-Wrestling Evolution promotion in the sense that more people are aware of their product. I am surprised that NWE hasn't done a better job of marketing their DVDs given the name talent they feature.

-Vince McMahon admitted that he's out of his mind on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program on Thursday. "I am totally out of my mind," he said while hyping the Million Dollar giveaway. "I've been out of my mind for a long time." No kidding.

-There are currently no discussions between WWE and Ring of Honor regarding a Ric Flair appearance. ROH noted in their "business news" update earlier this week that they came close to getting WWE's permission to use Flair on their August 2 show. At this point, it appears WWE is going to limit Flair's non-WWE appearances to fan conventions rather than actual wrestling shows, but like anything else in WWE, that could change.

-WWE will be touring Spain from September 24-26 with shows scheduled in Bilbao, Madrid, and two events in Barcelona. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk.]

-Jesse Ventura will appear on the "Arliss" rerun on ESPN Classic tonight at 2:00 A.M. (CT).

-The following matches are listed for tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Soldat Ustinov squash, Wayne Bloom vs. Wahoo McDaniel, Laurie Lynn vs. Mimi, Jerry Lawler vs. Teijo Khan. The show was taped on August 28, 1988.
