-WWE Raw takes place tonight in Calgary, which makes the decision to use Sgt. Slaughter as the guest host surprising. We'll find out whether there's a G.I. Joe movie connection or if this is simply a case of WWE bringing back the "American Hero" serve as the guest host in Canada.
-There are no matches advertised for tonight's show. All the top Raw stars are advertised on the Saddledome events page, but no dark matches are listed. We are looking for correspondents who attend the show and can help file reports on the matches taped for WWE Superstars and any dark matches that take place. Jim Ross wrote in his latest blog that he received the call to appear, so it looks like they will be taping a Smackdown match for the WWE Superstars show tonight. If you attend the show and can help with a report, contact me right away at dotnetjason@gmail.com.
-We are also looking for reports on tonight's WWE Smackdown/ECW house show in Red Deer, Alb. Likewise, we're already looking for correspondents who plan to attend the Smackdown/ECW taping in Edmonton. It was a light weekend for house show results on the site. I expected more from my neighbors to the north. After all, I live here in Minnesota, which is essentially Canada South.
-Dot Net reader Juan Mariscal found some interesting listings on the U.S. Airways Center website regarding the Smackdown/ECW taping that is taking place there two days after SummerSlam. DX and John Cena are scheduled to appear on the show, and Jeff Hardy is still listed for the main event. As always, remember that the arena listings are booked in advance and always come with the "card subject to change" disclaimer.

-Rhaka Khan is scheduled to appear at the Diamond Championship Wrestling event in Hastings, Pa. on Sept. 26. For more information, check out DiamondWrestling.com. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk.]
-NECW has signed a television deal with Comcast SportsNet New England. The show will begin airing in January 2010. For more info on the promotion, check out NECWwrestling.com.
-The AWA is not advertised for any airings on ESPN Classic today. The show will return with a pair of showings on Tuesday.
