-WWE will officially announce the launch of the WWE Network tonight at the CES event in Las Vegas, Nevada. Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, and John Cena are all advertised for the event along with various WWE executives. The announcement will be streamed on the WWE website tonight beginning at 8:30 p.m. CT. I will be covering the network announcement live as it airs and providing instant feedback. Plus, it will be a major part of the Dot Net Daily discussion on Thursday.
-The featured match of WWE Main Event is "The Real Americans" Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro vs. R-Truth and Xavier Woods. Join Ryan Kester for live coverage of WWE Main Event as the show airs on ION Network tonight at 7:00 p.m. CT.

-TNA wrestler Abyss will be inducted into the Norther Kentucky River Monsters "Hall of Monsters" on February 9 at The Bank of Kentucky Center. The River Monsters are an indoor football team in the Continental Indoor Football League. The team issued a press release to us, but I don't see anything listed on Northernkyrivermonsters.com.
-Former WWE wrestler Chris Masters (a/k/a Chris Mordetzky) is 31 today. He was born on January 8, 1983. Masters continues to work on the independent scene. He made news last March when TMZ ran a story about how he saved his mother's life after a criminal set fire to her home.
-Luke Williams (a/k/a Brian Wickens) of The Bushwhackers/Sheepherders fame is 67 today. He was born on January 8, 1947.
-Japanese pro wrestling legend Bull Nakano (a/k/a Keiko Nakano) is 46 today. She was born on January 8, 1968.
-Rey Mysterio Sr. (a/k/a Miguel Diaz) is 66 today. He was born on January 8, 1948. Mysterio is the uncle of WWE star Rey Mysterio.
-There are no pro wrestling shows listed for ESPN Classic today.
