-The featured match on tonight's WWE Main Event television show is The Miz vs. Cody Rhodes. Ryan Kester returns tonight with live coverage as the show airs on ION Network at 7:00 p.m. CT.

-Retired pro wrestler Jerry Lynn is 50 today. He was born on June 12, 1963. Lynn retired from the ring on March 23 in the main event of the March 23 Heavy on Wrestling event when he defeated Sean "X-Pac" Waltman, Horace the Psychopath, and J.B. Trask in a four-way match. Lynn has stated that he's not retired from the industry, though, as he plans to work behind the scenes in some capacity.

-Family Wrestling Entertainment is in Corono, New York (107-20 Northern Blvd.) on June 21 with a loaded event featuring the following lineup: Carlito vs. John Morrison for the FWE TItle, Rob Van Dam vs. Tommy Dreamer in a no DQ match, Maria Kanellis and Ivelisse vs. Angelina Love and Katarina, Paul London vs. Akio Yang for the Tri-Borough Championship, Brian Kenderick vs. Petey Williams, The Young Bucks vs. Anthony Nese and Jigsaw, a 30-man Rumble match for a future FWE Title match. The event will be available on iPPV via WWNLive.com.

-The main events of the Mid-Atlantic Memories Fan Fest that will be held on August 1-4 in Charlotte, N.C. have been announced. Gunner will face DOC in a battle of TNA wrestlers on Saturday night, and the Sunday event is headlined by ROH wrestlers Davey Richards vs. Michael Elgin.

-Wrestling Cares Association will also be holding Race for the Ring tournament matches on August 3 at the Mid-Atlantic Fan Fest. Cassidy Riley faces Corey Hollis, and Michah Taylor faces Papadon. For more information on the event and those matches, visit Midatlanticlegends.com.

-Premier Championship Wrestling is in Winnipeg on Friday at Doubles Fan Club (20 Alpine Avenue) with The The Premier Rumble, Antonio Scorpio Jr. vs. Adam Knight, and Scott Justice vs. Jackie Lee. The press release notes that Justice and Lee are both graduates of Lance Storm's Storm Wrestling Academy.

-Fred Curry (a/k/a Fred Koury, Jr.) is 70 today. He was born on June 12, 1943. Curry was a popular wrestler during his run. He is the son of pro wrestler "Wild" Bill Curry. Fred's Wikipedia page states that his son Fred III is being trained by Dory Funk, Jr.

-The late Hector Garza was born on this date in 1969. He died following a battle with lung cancer on May 26.

-There are no pro wrestling shows listed for ESPN Classic tonight.
