-Headlocked writer Michael Kingston, Ken Anderson, and Bad Influence will appear in the Headlocked booth (1901) at the San Diego Comic Con. Anderson will appear on Friday and Saturday, and Christopher Daniels and Kazarian will appear on Saturday and Sunday. Kingston will take part in the wrestling/comics panel on Thursday night.

-Headlocked has launched a Kickstarter in support of its next 150 pg. graphic novel, The Last Territory. The book has a painted cover by Jerry Lawler, art from Ken Anderson, Beth Phoenix, and Sinn Bodhi as well as short stories from Rob Van Dam, Shane Helms, and Christopher Daniels. -Bruiser Brody (a/k/a Frank Goodish) was killed on this date in 1988. He was stabbed to death by Jose Gonzalez in the shower area of a World Wrestling Council locker room in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Gonzalez worked as a wrestler and a booker. He cited self-defense and was acquitted on all counts. Dutch Mantel/Zeb Colter stated that he received his subpoena after the hearing and other wrestlers were afraid to testify.

-TNA wrestler Knux (a/k/a Michael Hettinga) is 35 today. He was born on July 17, 1978. He worked as Mike Knox in WWE.

-Lacey Von Erich (a/k/a Lacey Adkisson) is 27 today. She was born on July 17, 1986. The daughter of the late Kerry Von Erich left TNA in November 2010.

-Daffney (a/k/a Shannon Spruill) is 38 today. She was born on July 17, 1975.

-The late Edourd Carpentier (a/k/a Edouard Weiczorkiewicz) was born on this date in 1926. He died following a heart attack on October 30, 2010 at the age of 84.

-There are no pro wrestling shows listed for ESPN Classic tonight.
