-The featured match of WWE Main Event is Dolph Ziggler vs. Alberto Del Rio in a match that our correspondent said was awesome and better than their pay-per-view matches from earlier this year. -WWE performer Hornswoggle is shown in the trailer for "Muppets Most Wanted." Dot Net reader Tom E (@teverette11) notes that it has to be a dream role for Hornswoggle because he's such a big fan of the Muppets.

-The pre-sale for the TNA Genesis edition of Impact begins today at 10:00 a.m. ET. The password VBC can be used via Ticketmaster. The event will be held on January 16 in Huntsville, Alabama at Von Braun Center.

-Late WWE legend Davey Boy Smith was born on November 27, 1962. He died on May 18, 2002 at the age of 39. Smith suffered a heart attack while vacationing in Invermere, British Columbia. His son Harry Smith went on to work as David Hart Smith in WWE.

-Former pro wrestler Evan Karagias is 40 today. He was born on November 27, 1973.

-Absolute Intense Wrestling "Hell on Earth 9" takes place on Friday in Cleveland, Ohio at Turners Hall with the following lineup: Kevin Steen vs. Johnny Gargano, Michael Hutter (a/k/a Ethan Carter III) vs. Tim Donst, Louis Lyndon vs. Marion Fontaine for the Intense Title, The Batiri vs. The Jollyville F---its for the AIW Tag Titles, The Duke, Eric Ryan, Rickey Shane Page vs. Chest Flexor, Josh Prohibition, Matt Cross, and a mystery partner for control of AIW, Shiima Xion (a/k/a Zema Ion) returns to AIW, Gregory Iron issued an open challenge.

-There are no pro wrestling shows listed for ESPN Classic tonight.
