-The build to SummerSlam continues tonight as Raw takes place in San Antonio, Texas at the AT&T Center. The show is billed locally as Shawn Michaels Appreciation Night. HBK is advertised for the show, but the appreciation night gimmick probably will not make it to TV even if he makes an appearance. Jason Powell will be back from his birthday blowout weekend, so join him for live coverage tonight, starting at 7:00 p.m. CT.

-We are looking for correspondents for the WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown tapings. If you are going tonight to Raw in San Antonio or to Tuesday's taping in Houston and want to help, contact me right away at

-Both Triple H and Brock Lesnar are advertised for tonight's Raw tapings. Paul Heyman is not officially advertised, but I would expect him to be there as well to continue to build this match for SummerSlam.

-The advertised dark match main event is John Cena vs. Big Show and John Laurinaitis in a handicap match. Big Johnny hasn't been seen on TV since being "fired" even though he no longer holds an executive position within the company.

-Members will be listening to Jason Powell's WWE Raw review later tonight after the show. Members are already listening to my 84 minute Q&A audio, along with over six hours of audio created last week. Youy can get access to all of that audio and the ad-free version of the site, the Dot Net Member forum and blog sections by becoming a Dot Net Member at

-CHIKARA is holding a benefit show this Sunday, August 12, at the First Energy Stadium in Reading, Penn. Anyone making a $5 donation to Baseballtown Charities will be admitted. You can get more information on the show at

-Former WWF Superstar Dino Bravo would have turned 64 today. Bravo, who was rumored to have been connected to organized crime was found shot to death in his apartment on March 10, 1993. His murder remains unsolved.

-There are no classic pro wrestling shows scheduled for ESPN Classic tonight.
