Dot Net readers voted on a variety of 2011 awards throughout January and early February. The following are the results of our poll for Best Tag Team. Thanks to everyone who took part in the voting. You can check out the other winners and winners from past years in the Awards section.

(1) Beer Money: 32 percent
(2) Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas: 16 percent
(3) Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston: 12 percent
(4) Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli: 12 percent
(5) The Miz and R-Truth: 11 percent
Others: 17 percent

Will Pruett's Thoughts: This list is definitely what one could consider to be slim. The Kings of Wrestling win this one based on their great work in the first half of the year before being momentarily separated by WWE contracts. They had great matches with Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly and The Briscoes prior to signing. Their year-long run as ROH tag champions may have concluded, but they still get top honors this year. Beer Money definitely gets an honorable mention from me in this category.

Ryan Kester's Thoughts: I'm going to have to abstain from voting in this award. I would pick Beer Money, but I realize that a lot of the great tag team wrestling takes place in ROH, but I simply haven't had the time or accessibility to keep up with the ROH product to a point where I would be comfortable comparing their tag teams to those in the two main stream companies.

Jake Barnett's Thoughts: I am in complete agreement with the readers that Beer Money was the best Tag Team of 2011. There wasn't much focus on Tag Team Wrestling in 2011, but what we saw in TNA wasn't bad for the most part, and Beer Money was by far the best true tag team in the promotion. 2011 saw Beer Money win the titles from the Motor City Machine Guns to start the year, and go on to hold those titles for a TNA record of 184 days.

Even though I wasn't entirely enthused about the way TNA decided to book the Bound for Glory Series, Roode and Storm both established themselves as stars, and had a memorable dissolution of their team with Roode pinning a wounded Storm after hitting him with a beer bottle for the TNA Heavyweight Title. It was a memorable year for both men, having great matches as both a team and as individuals, and it would appear their issues are far from resolved.

Chris Shore's Thoughts: The correct answer to this question is "any team in ROH" as they were the only promotion to have a consistent tag division all year. That said, I have to go with The Briscoes. No team electrified their respective audiences more than the Briscoes, whether as heels or as babyfaces. And no team was pushed out in front like the Briscoes.

Jason Powell's Thoughts: Only two votes separated Air Boom and Kings of Wrestling, and only three votes separated KOW and Awesome Truth, so the voting was tight aside from the top two spots. I'd give the nod to Kings of Wrestling who were more consistent throughout the year, in part because they had better and more opponents to work with than Beer Money, who get my No. 2 pick. I'd also have The Briscoes higher on the list than Haas and Benjamin. For that matter, I have All Night Express in my top five ahead of the WWE teams and Haas and Benjamin.
