TNA News: TNA brags about recent ratings increase, claims over 1.6 million views for last week
TNA issued a statement via ImpactWrestling.com claiming 1.6 million people watched Impact on August 7 (for live plus three-day DVR viewership), the largest viewership since February.
Shore's Slant: The release goes on to crow about facing NFL competition for the first time, and it is a fair point. TNA held serve the first week of preseason, but they also shot their wd with the Dixie table spot. How will they do this week?
More importantly though, TNA's sudden acknowledgement of their ratings like this sure does sound a lot like WWE's comments during their negotiating period. Perhaps this is a good sign for the future of TNA on television.
