-The late Bruiser Brody (a/k/a Frank Donald Goodish) died on this day in 1988, one day after being stabbed by Jose Huertas Gonzalez in a locker room in Puerto Rico. Gonzalez was acquitted of the murder in 1989, after what many feel was an incredibly mishandled, or perhaps corrupt, investigation.
-The late Édouard Carpentier (a/k/a Édouard Ignacz Weiczorkiewicz) would have turned 88 today. Carpenter's controversial title win over Lou Thesz in 1957 led to a split in the NWA that ultimately formed the AWA. He died at 84 of a heart attack in his home.
-TNA wrestler Knux (a/k/a Michael Shawn Hettinga) turns 36 today. He is currently involved in the Menagerie group, along with The Freak (Rob Terry), Crazy Steve, and Rebel.
-WWE NXT wrestler Mojo Rawley (a/k/a Dean Muhtadi) turns 28 today. Rawley signed with WWE in 2013 after a brief NFL career as a defensive linemen, and after working for Morgan Stanly out of high school.
-Former TNA star Lacey Von Erich (a/k/a Lacey Adkisson) turns 28 today. The daughter of Kerry Von Erich, Lacey was last seen wrestling in TNA in 2010 as a part of the Beautiful People group, holding the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships.
-There are no pro wrestling shows scheduled for ESPN Classic tonight.
