Kester's WWE Elimination Chamber Rundown: Kane costs Daniel Bryan the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, The Wyatt Family and The Shield tear the house down, and Batista gets another round of hate

Elimination Chamber Match

This Chamber match was one of the better Chamber matches in recent years, and delivered several moments that will live on in highlight reels for future incarnations of this PPV. Cesaro got way more of a showcase than was to be expected, and he rose to the occasion and delivered a memorable performance.

The interference down the stretch took a lot of wind out of the match's sails. The Wyatts attack on John Cena was one thing, but having it quickly followed by Kane attacking Daniel Bryan was too much. WWE consistently damages their enclosure matches by having them so easily infiltrated by outsiders.

While it was disappointing to see Daniel Bryan not emerge victorious, it was to be expected. WWE is setting their fans up for disappointment if they don't manage to work Bryan into the WrestleMania main event at this point considering the amount of focus he received at the end of the match and during the show closing. Bryan was the entire focus of that segment, rather than Orton retaining the championship or WrestleMania looming.

The Wyatt Family vs. The Shield

This was easily the match of the night and an early contender for match of the year. WWE did a great job of building up to this confrontation, and the two teams delivered in a huge way once it arrived. Every member of both teams had their time to shine, but Bray Wyatt solidified his place as a sadistic killer and Reigns looked like a complete badass talking on the entire Wyatt Family on his own. Fantastic match.

While it was surprising to see Reigns take the pin in the match, he did so after he nearly took out the Wyatts without backup. WWE is building him up for one hell of a babyface run once he gets away from his Shield brethren. Reigns is due for a breakout year, and it's exciting to see him start so hot at the first two PPVs.

Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio

Batista looked better than he did at the Royal Rumble, but he still seemed completely gassed by the end of the match. He's going to need to go for a lot longer at WrestleMania than he did last night, so hopefully he can continue to work on his ring shape so that he's ready to go for the big show.

In a lot of ways, the timing of Batista's return is unfortunate, as is WWE's insistence on having him in the title picture. Batista could have easily been a great attraction for WrestleMania had he not been put in the role that WWE's audience has declared belongs to Daniel Bryan.

Overall Show

Overall, WWE delivered an entertaining PPV with plenty of quality action and solid storytelling. WWE still has a lot of work to do before WrestleMania, but they did a great job last night.
