Gutteridge's WWE NXT Hit List: The tag team tournament continues with Sami Zayn and Adam Rose vs. Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel, and Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady vs. Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger

WWE NXT Hits
Sami Zayn and Adam Rose vs. Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel: A minor hit. The match was fine, but two commercial interruptions hurt it, as it would any match. I think I may have expected more considering who was in the ring too, especially as they gave Rose the job of selling. It was underwhelming more than disappointing, but it's still not worthy of any higher praise than “It was OK”.
CJ Parker vs. Xavier Woods: The "this is personal" level of this feud was well conveyed in this match. It didn't set the world on fire by any means, but both guys looked good, with Woods standing out in particular. I'd be disappointed if this feud is over already, which is seemingly what the ending suggested, but this may be the start of a Tommy Dreamer / Raven situation, where try as he might, Woods can't beat Parker. Or maybe, in light of Woods apparent heel turn on the main roster, this will actually serve as the abrupt end.
WWE NXT Misses
Overall Show: This was about as mediocre as NXT has ever been. Only Eva Marie was truly bad, but there were only one or two things that could be deemed “good”. Everything was just kinda there. A very skippable show.
Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady vs Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger: Everything was off here. On the surface, there didn't appear to be anything wrong, but those paying attention may have picked up on a multitude of small errors - The commentators called Dillinger "experienced", then criticized his inexperience for not pinning Enzo after a superkick; they also praised Jordan and Dillinger for their team work over the entire match, after hitting only one tag move; J&D are athletic and technically skilled, yet relied almost entirely on punches and elbows; and the loser team, featuring a giant who did a lot of selling, and Enzo "Magikarp" Amore, went over the superior tag team. The very definition of a miss.
Bayley vs. Eva Marie: I go through several cycles when watching an Eva Marie match. At first, it's hilarious how bad she is. Then it makes me sad that WWE is OK with that. Then I get angry at them for allowing a model to use them to get 15 minutes of fame, despite her utter refusal to get better. Rinse and repeat. The only good part of this clunker was “Bayleys gonna hug you”, which may be my new favourite version of my favourite chant. Thanks for reading.
