WWE Live Event
Calgary, Alberta
Report by Dot Net reader Adam Santa

The show opened with Eden (a/k/a Mrs. Stardust) welcoming us as the ring announcer.

1. R-Truth defeated Fandango. Basic opener match lots of attempts for crowd participation and Calgary obliged

2. Tyson Kidd, Diego, and El Torito defeated Titus O'Neil, Heath Slater, and Hornswoggle. The kids liked all the comedy spots. Kidd was super over with the home town crowd

3. The Miz beat Kofi Kingston to retain the Intercontinental Title. A pretty basic match. Each guy got there spots in, Miz sold a fake injury spot well. I'm expecting to see it on TV in some form.

4. The Usos defeated Luke Harper and Erick Rowan to retain the WWE Tag Titles. Good match with lots of fun spots, though nothing new we haven't seen on TV.

5. Natalya, Emma, and Layla defeated Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox and Eva Marie. This was the twitter vote match. The options were match or dance off. Eva looks a lot better in the ring than she once did but she's still the drizzling shits. Rosa's gear looked very similar to Layla and Summer Rae's gear when they were dancing with Fandango. I'm predicting we'll see Rosa with Fandango next - maybe give her something to do on TV for Total Divas. Natalya won by submission with the stupid double sharpshooter...talk about killing suspension of disbelief.

6. The Big Show defeated Cesaro. The match was fairly basic formula. Cesaro got a lot of offense and told the story of chopping the big man down at the legs. Cesaro got got by Show's knockout punch of doom.

7. Chris Jericho defeated Bray Wyatt. Good match. It seems like it was the same from the night before with the Wyatts and the Usos getting involved. After the match, Bray came back with a chair. Cue Bret Hart. The Hitman made his way to the ring for the save. Hart and Wyatt stared off for a minute. Jericho distracted Wyatt, which gave Bret an opportunity to clobber Bray with a big right hand. It seems to me that Bret looks healthier and healthier every time we see him with WWE, as he looked great.

Overall, it was a fun night of live WWE action and I know both my son and I look forward to their return to Alberta.
