-ProWrestling.net was launched on Feb. 11, 2008

-Mission Statement: To provide accurate, frequent news updates, hard-hitting analysis, and useful media reviews to inform and entertain pro wrestling fans around the world.

-ProWrestling.net co-founder and owner Jason Powell has worked in the journalism field since 1998. He worked full time as Assistant Editor at Pro Wrestling Torch from 1998 to 2003 and full time at Fanball.com, one of the top online sports-related websites, which distributed Fantasy Football Weekly, a nationally distributed magazine. Jason started work at Fanball in 2003 and held a Senior Editor position when he left in January 2008 to return to pro wrestling reporting full time and to start his own business.

-As Assistant Editor of Pro Wrestling Torch, Powell reported on major stories such as the rise and fall of ECW, the Monday Night War era of the late-'90s, and the WWF buyout of WCW. He consistently broke major stories and was in frequent contact with sources within the wrestling industry. He conducted Torch interviews with top names in the industry including ROH booker Gabe Sapolsky, Dusty Rhodes, Lance Storm, Dallas Page, Konnan, Mike Awesome, Jimmy Hart, Lenny Lane, Mortimer Plumtree, Jim Kettner, Les Thatcher, Bill Behrens, and Vic Grimes, among others.

-Powell works full-time out of his home office near St. Paul, Minn.
